What is CBD

Cannabidiol (CBD) is one of at least 85 active cannabinoids identified in cannabis. It is a major phytocannabinoid, accounting for up to 40% of the plant’s extract. It is non-psychoactive in chemical form unlike THC.

In order to extract CBD, it must be first present in the plant. If the strain has no CBD, then it can only really contain THC.

Regardless of opinions, both THC and CBD are illegal.

Irish Criminal Law.

The most recent Misuse of Drugs (Designation) Order (S.I. No. 69/1998) lists cannabis, cannabis resin, cannabinol and its derivatives as Schedule 1 drugs under the Misuse of Drugs Acts of 1977 and 1984. The gardaí (Irish police) have a level of un-offical discretion when dealing with recreational cannabis users. To procure a conviction any cannabis seized has to be sent for analysis to the Garda Forensic Science Laboratory. This, along with the time needed to process the arrest, means that individual gardaí may decide not to arrest for small amounts, but the drug will be seized and the name and address of the individual will be taken. Possession of cannabis is an arrestable offence and, in 2003, 53 per cent of all drug seizures and 70 per cent of all drug-related prosecutions were for cannabis. Trafficking or possession with intent to supply are serious offences under Irish law.

Upon being brought to court, the penalties for possession are outlined as follows:

* First offence: On summary conviction, to a fine not exceeding €381, or on conviction on indictment, to a fine not exceeding €635.
* Second offence: On summary conviction, to a fine not exceeding €508, or on conviction on indictment, to a fine not exceeding €1,269.
* Third or subsequent offence: On summary conviction, to a fine not exceeding €1,269 or, at the discretion of the court, to imprisonment for a term not exceeding twelve months, or to both the fine and the imprisonment, or on conviction on indictment, to a fine of such amount as the court considers appropriate or, at the discretion of the court, to imprisonment for a term not exceeding three years, or to both the fine and the imprisonment.

There is no law against possession or sale of cannabis seeds. However, the growing of cannabis, even for medicinal benefits by genuine sufferers, is often treated harshly by the courts.

 

Sorry to start with such bad news. This is the real world now.

Cannabis in all its shape and form is illegal. Farmers may produce hemp for seed oils, fibre and other materials. But if any attempt is made to use it outside the legal parameters, it becomes highly illegal. It’s treated the exact same as cannabis growing.

There are many people setting up web-sites telling people it’s 100% legal, CBD is ok to buy and use. Yes its ok to buy and use, but only to benefit themselves and possibly getting the people into an unwanted legal battle.

A new web-site has just popped up claiming it has lip-balm and CBD oil for sale.                      In business for 20 years.!! You must send your details to obtain a care package.!                  This site is not good, they have simply copied BLUEBIRD BOTANICALS website.                        If you look at the, What is CBD, between the two sites, you can clearly see these people have copied it. No matter what they say, its illegal to sell CBD products in Ireland. If they can either show legitimate contracts or E.U certificates for stated purpose, well maybe.  But when you ask for a care package, it comes from HOLLAND. Go figure that one.      PLEASE before giving any money away, ask them to forward confirmation from                    the IRISH GOVERNMENT, that what they are selling is legal.

OUR money is on its not.

Anybody can buy Hemp Oil and in there own home, make these products.                         There have been so many people selling/claiming they have CBD oil for sale, yet its just proven to be either an extremely low dose CBD in some form of olive oil, hemp oil etc.. or some crap that has been concocted in order to profit from somebodies last ditch resort in order to save there own life..!!!

This was sold at 35 euros a bottle, yet is it is just Olive Oil with a drop of CBD.                        Please before buying anything, ask for a lab report or ask is it a solid oil like most good quality oils are, or is it watery. i.e Poor Quality
